Ozlem Edizel-Tasci's Biography

Ozlem Edizel-Tasci is a Senior Associate and Proposal Writer for the Institute for Engagement & Negotiation. She has experience in urban research, academic teaching and group facilitation, specializing in sustainable development, climate change policy, water management, conflict resolution, urban regeneration, participatory planning (P-GIS) and urban governance.

Over the years, she has provided grant consultancy for several funded research projects in the US, UK and Turkey. Her extensive experience working with diverse communities, NGOs and local/national government organizations is an asset to IEN. Her work is published in journals/books and she has presented at international conferences on climate change policy and public participation. She holds a PhD from Brunel University, UK, where she was awarded the Dean’s Prize for Innovation and Impact in Doctoral Research. She also has a Master’s degree in Regional Planning and Bachelor's degree in City and Regional Planning from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
