Jim’s practice at McGuireWoods covers a broad range of law including corporate, legislative, education, governmental relations, and municipal matters. He served as Virginia’s Secretary of Education and has been an active community leader having served as chairman of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Northern Virginia Business Roundtable, and the Emerging Business Forum as well as president of the Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation. He is also a member of the Go Virginia State Board and Board of Visitors of Norfolk State University.
