Allen Saunders

Hailing from Virginia Beach, Allen Saunders is an IT Specialist at the Weldon Cooper Center with over 25 years of higher education Information Technology experience. Allen brings extensive expertise in desktop support, end user training, and IT project management to the Cooper Center. 

Allen earned his bachelor’s degree from UVA’s College of Arts and Sciences and then served as the Director of Minority Programs for UVA's School of Engineering & Applied Sciences from 1988 to 1992. In 1993, he returned to UVA to earn his master’s degree at the School of Education and Human Development. As part of his advanced degree curriculum, Allen coordinated the Multicultural Teacher’s Institute sponsored by the School of Education, after which he joined the Cooper Center.
