Beth Bennett is the Certification Coordinator for the Constitutional Officer Education Program.

Where are you from?

Louisa County, Virginia.

What brought you to the Cooper Center?

I began working at the Cooper Center as an intern for the Center for Survey Research. However, the certification program holds a huge conference every August and needed help preparing for it. I helped to plan the conference, and, at the end of my internship, I learned that a position had opened up in certification. I applied and got it!

What is something you are passionate about?

My family. I have an 18-month-old son, and he is my everything!

Where is the next place you would like to travel?

Every summer my family goes to the Outer Banks for vacation. This year we are going at the end of June.

What is your most unusual talent?

I have hitchhiker’s thumb.

Who is your hero or inspiration?

My mom. She was a single parent and always sacrificed for us. She did an amazing job at being a role model.

What is one food you could eat for the rest of your life?

What is your favorite memory at the Cooper Center?

I always enjoyed the holiday parties we used to have. It was fun being able to socialize with the other people here at the Cooper Center and not talk about work!

What does public service mean to you?

Reaching and educating the public in order to better serve them.
