Bryan David serves as a Program Director for the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service to advance economic development in Southern Virginia. His work is through a partnership between the Cooper Center and the Growth and Opportunity Region 3 Council. He leads the operations of the GO Virginia Region 3 Council and directly collaborates with an extensive network of partner organizations, engaged residents, and business leaders. The Region 3 Council includes a 13-county region and the Cities of Danville and Martinsville in Southern Virginia.
  
With over 30 years of professional experience, Bryan has held leadership positions for local governments throughout the commonwealth as well as Virginia’s Region 2000 Partnership - Economic Development Council in Lynchburg.  He received a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College. He is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Broadband Communities Corporation board of directors and vice chair of the Council for Rural Virginia. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Planners, the Virginia Economic Developers Association, the International Economic Development Council, the American Planning Association and its Virginia Chapter, and the Virginia Local Government Management Association. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia's Senior Executive Institute.
